Many shootings have taken place in our territory. Starting with the films of Jean Renoir, in particular the classic Party in the countryside in 1946, some scenes of which were filmed on the banks of the Loing in Montigny-sur-Loing. The filmmaker Jean-Paul Rappeneau has often chosen Moret as the setting for his costume shoots, such as The Bride and Groom of Year II with Belmondo or Cyrano de Bergerac with Depardieu. The same Gérard Depardieu who recently shared the poster for Happy Apple with Catherine Deneuve, a feature film shot in Flagy, in natural settings. The village square, in particular the car garage and the café, were "given a makeover" for the occasion and have been preserved.

Paradisio festival

A unique event in Europe, the Paradisio Festival offers spectators a journey into the heritage and the world of cinema from 1900 to 1960. Every summer in Seine & Loing, for 3 days, the 7th art escapes from dark rooms to invest the city. After two first editions in the small village of Flagy, the Paradisio Festival is now based in Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne.
